Bicker Trust

Trust income derives from EDF Renewable Energy Limited, the developer of the Wind Farm site at Bicker. The Trust will run for 25 years, awarding approximately £19,000 per year to projects that either contribute to conservation, energy efficiency or environmental improvements. Examples of fundable projects include top-up grants, educational projects (attending environmental courses or workshops); community facilities (ponds, wildlife, ecology), environmental schemes, energy efficiency for community buildings, ground source energy, solar panels; biodiversity (species support), habitat creation (hedges, woodland, ponds etc).

Not for profit groups within a ten mile radius of the wind farm can apply for up to £5,000 (priority to be given to projects within 5 miles). Closing dates 1 October and 1 April.
