Evan Cornish Grassroots Fund
We manage a £100,000 a year grants scheme on behalf of the Cornish family. The aim is to help volunteer-led grassroots groups that need small grants for local community projects. We cover the whole of the Historic County, but East Lindsey is a priority area.
Applicants must have a governing document (constitution or rules), accounts (or projections) and the relevant policies and procedures (like child protection). You can apply for up to £5,000.
There are three priorities: social cohesion; older people and advice and support. [The theme is social cohesion].
Activities include support to vulnerable and older people, counselling, care at home, volunteer costs, dementia services, sitters and companionship.
Target beneficiaries: isolated communities, prisoners and their families, women’s groups, ethnic minorities, older people and those on low incomes and/or with disabilities and health problems.
Closing dates for receipt of completed applications are on 1 June, 1 October, 1 February from 2011 to 2016.
