LVIS
Lincolnshire Visual Intelligence System
Welcome to LVIS
The Lincolnshire Visual Intelligence System (LVIS) is a freely accessible tool that was both created and developed by the Lincolnshire Community Foundation’s own Data Research and Environmental Officer, Aaron Bailey, to highlight and identify where there are any potential pockets of deprivation within the Greater Lincolnshire Area by theme. Each theme contains data down to Lower Super Output Area (LSOA) level which allows for the street-level identification of the potential pockets of deprivation linked with each theme when mapped and each theme’s visualisation is searchable and comparable by Local Authority District (LAD). For more information on how the data for each theme visualisation was compiled and instructions on how to use the theme visualisations please refer to the two links below:
The Lincolnshire Visual Intelligence System has played a pivotal role for Boxes of Hope when completing funding applications.
LVIS is simple to use, it means when looking at an authority or the whole county you can quickly see which towns/villages are more deprived. LVIS also gives us reassurance that we are working in the areas where the need is highest.
We refer to LVIS regularly and will continue to do so both when completing funding applications and for delivery of projects, it is free to use and provides excellent up to date information and statistics.Mandy Baxter, Boxes of Hope CIC
Since we were introduced to LVIS in 2022, there has been a strong push to leverage its capabilities for identifying needs across the County, particularly in securing project funding. This tool has proven instrumental in the Food and Fuel Need project, led by LVET in partnership with LCF.
By overlaying food and fuel need data with current provision maps, the project successfully identified service gaps, attracting considerable interest from local councils, the Greater Lincolnshire Food Partnership, and the VCFSE sector. The collaboration with LCF, particularly Aaron, has been exceptional, marked by their deep expertise and professionalism.Teri Dimbleby, Project Support Officer, Lincolnshire Engagement Team
