Boston Lithuanian Community

About

The Bishop of Lincoln’s Social Justice Fund provided a grant to support children and young adults who have come to live in the UK with language, cultural experiences, making friendships and becoming active members of their community

The Boston Lithuanian Community devised a range of bespoke events and activities for children, young people and their families within Boston and surrounding areas. Cultural sessions, trips, community events and after-school activities such as language classes, arts, crafts, dance and maths have helped children and their families to integrate with the population of Boston, and to become more active, confident and happy. The group has worked in partnership with organisations delivering projects within the town of Boston, including: Big Dig Project, Big Gig in Lincoln, Boston More in Common Group, LCVS and Welcoming Voices. 30 volunteers have ensured that over 2000 people have directly benefitted from the work delivered by the group with this funding.
