The object of this fund is to support community led activities that benefit people living in Gainsborough, respond to local needs and opportunities, deliver visible improvements, strengthen local pride and contribute to the Gainsborough Pride in Place Board’s priorities.
Pride in Place is a 10 year government programme giving communities the power and funding to improve local spaces, support culture and boost pride in where they live. Gainsborough is one of the 250 areas that will have £20M investment over 10 years.
Gainsborough's Community Led Future
Pride in Place is a long-term commitment to the future of Gainsborough, putting local people at the heart of shaping the town’s next chapter.
Through the new Neighbourhood Board, residents, community organisations, businesses and partners will help guide investment, set priorities and support improvements that matter most to the people who live and work here.
The programme has been shaped by local people, with priorities focused on creating a safer, stronger, better connected and more vibrant Gainsborough, now and for the future.
Lincolnshire Community Foundation is working with the Gainsborough Pride in Place Board to deliver the community grants scheme, supporting locally led activities that respond to the needs and opportunities identified within the town.
