Subject: Grants for projects promoting health and wellbeing across North Kesteven
Members at North Kesteven District Council have made substantial funding available via Lincolnshire Community Foundation to support worthwhile projects that maintain or improve the health and wellbeing of people living across North Kesteven. This is particularly prudent as communities face some challenging times ahead.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available to charitable organisations that are either based in the District and already delivering crucial services, or those able to clearly demonstrate where there is a gap and have a workable solution to address and support the emotional wellbeing of local residents. Bids will be considered from existing and new organisations and can be to extend ongoing services or create new initiatives.
The closing date for receipt of a completed application and supporting documentation is on 2 December 2022 with decisions notified within 6 weeks. It is anticipated approximately £73,000 will be allocated to worthwhile projects that, as well as supporting health and wellbeing, are able to evidence there is as an element of sustainability built into the planning process.
Requests for support might include support for older people, those with disabilities; early intervention; counselling support (explaining how the activity or benefits might be sustained); budgetary advice, cooking on a restricted income; and peer support training.
These are examples only and we would encourage potential applicants to get to in touch to discuss an application before submitting it by contacting Katie Littlewood at the Foundation on 01529 305825.
We pride ourselves on being available at every step of the process to advise and support applicants. We may also be able to signpost to other opportunities or avenues of practical help. To download the Fund Criteria and other documentation, please visit the grants page at lincolnshirecf.co.uk.
