The Object of the Fund is to assist projects that promote a safer society and help reduce crime in Lincolnshire.
Eligible groups are:
- Voluntary or Community organisations in Lincolnshire (not including North and North East Lincolnshire). Not statutory agencies.
- Priority is given to locally run and managed. We are unlikely to fund organisations that are local branches/organisations of a larger regional or national organisation, unless they can evidence local need and engagement.
Theme:
The Object of the Fund is to assist projects that promote a safer society and help reduce crime in Lincolnshire.
Crime reduction: Funds can be used for young people (diversionary activities, projects that raise aspirations or reduce isolation); intergenerational activities (reduce fear of crime, promote community cohesion); activities for older people that tackle isolation and loneliness (resident groups, clubs societies).
What Can we Fund?
- We can fund local projects that encourage and/or assist those included in the target group.
- We can provide funding to cover running costs, equipment, travel, venue hire, telephone, stationery, refreshments, volunteer training and activities that meet an identified need.
- Whatever we fund must be of benefit for your local community
What Can’t we Fund
- Political or predominantly religious activities
- Statutory provision
- Animal welfare
- General contributions to large appeals
- Building work
About The Grants….
- We aim to distribute around £15,000 a year
- Grants are for a maximum of £5,000 (average grant £2,000)
- Payments are normally made in advance
- Closing date on 1 March and 1 September (if funds allow) in each year
- All funds to be spent within a year of receipt
What supporting documentation do you need to apply?
- Constitution or set of rules
- A local management board or committee
- A bank or building society account in the organisation’s name with at least two cheque signatories
- Up to date accounts or income and expenditure account.
- Other relevant policies and procedures (vulnerable adults policy, equal opportunities)
